Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was named Player of the Year at the 10th Globe Soccer Awards hosted in Dubai as over 900 million viewers in over 100 countries . This was the first time the global investment conglomerate Dubai Holding joined as the event’s title sponsor.
As one of the leading international awards in global football, Globe Soccer welcomes senior members of the global football industry to Dubai, acknowledging exceptional performances of the past season. The event was created in 2010 and has been a key platform to help position Dubai as a leading destination amongst the top names in football.
Dubai Holding, in partnership with Dubai master developer Meraas, selected the event launch a partnership with Ronaldo and to showcase ‘Madinat Jumeirah Living’, a premium freehold residential development. At the event, a special ‘Meraas Legend Lounge’ was set up to host top stars including Ronaldo and to showcase selected real estate and another model was displayed amongst invited VIP whilst mingling in the Audi VIP lounge. Dubai Holding’s partnership with Globe Soccer Awards also stems from the company’s commitment to enhance Dubai’s global reputation, as well as its involvement in a wide range of sports and wellness initiatives across the emirate.
